Though originally started in London, the Moorfields Eye Hospital has since brought its expertise as an ophthalmology center to Dubai’s doorstep, offering everything from general ophthalmology to retinal detachment surgery.
The center certainly sticks true to their name. The staff were more than happy to brief us on the various assessments at the center for determining any ocular problems and their treatment procedures, all with very little waiting time in between.
When we spoke to various patients, they reported feeling very accommodated and comfortable during their procedures and stay at the hospital. However, some patients did mention feeling like there was limited time for the consultations.

What immediately stood out on our visit was how well-maintained and relaxing the whole space was, which we find vital for nervous patients. The staff also walked us through how they give their treatment plans, keeping them clear and concise.
The patients we talked to were happy to back up this claim, but also informed us that the waiting time for receiving their test results could get quite long– so we encourage following up often.
Lastly, some patients also brought up that booking follow-up procedures and consultations could get pricey, so it’s best to clarify post-op recovery procedures as soon as you can with the staff.
