What we like about House of Paws’ training program is that they acknowledge the differences of each dog and create tailor-fit behavioral and training solutions that will help your pet learn better. 

What will happen first, based on our experience, is a detailed assessment of your dog or puppy. From there, they’ll help you decide on the best training program for your dog. 

The fees of the dog training will also be dependent on this assessment. From what we’ve seen, they have three main programs: in-house training, group classes, and behavioral counseling. 

For in-house training, they’ll be trained while they’re staying there at the center’s boarding facilities. The expert trainers will be the ones supervising and teaching your dog through a reward and correction system. 

The training will be fully catered to your dog’s needs and will include basic obedience commands and any other needed corrections as they see fit. This will cost 145 AED per session.

I sought out a house of paws after a bad experience with another Dog school. Cici was kind enough to offer me a 1 day free training for my dog. To my surprise, my dog came back differently. Before going to house of paws my dog used to bark at everything ( people, animals, etc.) , he pee & poo everywhere with no obedience at all though he went for training.With that said after my dog came back from house of paws I was surprised no incident at all, he listened when we tell him to stop or go your bed. Dogwalk is a family-run business established in 2010. Aside from dog training, they also have a hotel, daycare, grooming services, rehabilitation services, fitness plans, transport, and events for your pets. 

Dogwalk has four types of training programs available for your pet’s needs. They have group classes, individual training, in-house training, and behavioral counseling. 

What’s great about Dogwalk is they have an option for a monthly subscription for group classes where you pay a fixed fee and you can attend as many sessions as your schedule lets you from once to six times a week. So it’s very personalized and caters not just to your dog’s needs but also your own. 

In group classes, they teach your dog basic obedience commands and improve their socialization skills with other dogs and other people. They get to learn simple cues, basic manners, verbal cues, and even loose-leash walking. 

We like how the teachers handle the class, they’re very knowledgeable and you really get a good grasp of what they’re trying to teach. 

What’s nice about group training is you get a better understanding of your dog so when behavioral problems arise, you can also come up with your own solutions. 

If your dog is better suited to be taught alone, they also have individual training that’s tailor-fit to your needs and even your schedule and preferred place. In case you don’t have time to be there during dog training, there’s also an in-house training available that comes with boarding.

Established in 2015, My Second Home is a bit younger compared to the other training centers in this list. Still, they’re worth mentioning because of their established training program and wide range of services offered. 

From what we’ve seen, the behavior specialists in their academy who conduct the training are very involved and knowledgeable. They don’t just train the dogs, but they also make sure to brief the owners and equip them with the tools and techniques toward better dog behavior. 

What we like about them is they make it a point to include the owners in the development process, so it increases the effectiveness of the training because there are better chances of the training being reinforced at home. 

They have lectures and workshops, however it’s only on the first Sunday and Monday of the month. We think that the classes run few and far between, so that’s something to consider with this academy. 

Their workshops include basic and advanced principles. We are impressed that they really make sure to give both the owner and the dog a good foundation into dog training. 

Aside from actual lectures, they also conduct behavioral consultations and tailor a program for your dog for personal one-on-one training. They work best toward behavior improvement like helping with obedience to commands and assisting with curbing aggressive behavior in dogs. 

We noticed their training packages are a bit pricier than most considering most of them take less than an hour.  However, if you pay for membership, you’ll get lower rates for the dog training. 

They also have a wide range of services aside from dog training. They have a dog park (which is the world’s largest indoor dog park, by the way), boarding, daycare, and grooming services as well. 

They don’t have an online booking system like the others. So, all reservations need to be done via call or in person. They have two highly accessible locations, making it convenient to get to them.

Petsville opened only in 2018, making them the youngest one in our list. Still we included them because they have established a solid reputation for themselves as an all-around pet store through their consistent and trustworthy services.  

Although better known for their pet boarding facilities, they also have a really impressive training program. They partner with Pawfect Behavior, which is headed by Aimee Orme, who’s a UK certified and qualified behaviorist.

Aimee’s extensive experience, education,  and pure talent when dealing with pets are very apparent in her training programs. They offer the following:

We took a peek at their training center and were impressed by how well-equipped it was. We really think they’re a great place to bring your dog for training. 

It’s also very easy to book an assessment with them through their intuitive online system. They’re very responsive, based on our experience. 

They just have pretty  limited information on their website, making it inconvenient to look through their services. So that’s something to consider with this particular center. 

Otherwise, their services seem to be really reliable. From what we’ve seen, their staff are very knowledgeable and gentle with the pets. 

It’s impressive to see how attentive they are to the dogs. The knowledge that your dog is in good hands while getting trained is very comforting as a dog owner.
